Italian-Style Tofu Curry
A fusion dish blending the flavors of Italy and Venezuela, featuring a piquant curry sauce and tender tofu.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) tofudrained and cut into bite-sized pieces
- β2 tbsp piquant venezuelan currystore-bought or homemade
- β2 tbsp olive oilfor sautΓ©ing
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 can (14 oz) tomatodiced
- β1 tsp dried basilor 2 tbsp fresh chopped
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-6 minutes.

Add the piquant venezuelan curry, diced tomato, and dried basil. Stir to combine.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
