Spicy Korean Fried Chicken
A crispy fried Korean-style chicken dish with a spicy kick. Perfect as a main course or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β2 lbs chicken breastcut into bite-sized pieces
- β2 tbsp gochujang
- β1 tbsp soy sauce
- β1 tbsp brown sugar
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp gingergrated
- β1 cup cornstarch
- β1/2 cup vegetable oil
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped (optional)

1. Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

2. In a large bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.

3. Add the chicken to the bowl and toss to coat with the marinade.

4. In a separate bowl, mix together cornstarch and a pinch of salt.

5. Add the cornstarch mixture to the chicken and toss to coat.

6. Heat 1/4 cup of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

7. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

8. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
