Irish Stew with Cauliflower
A hearty and comforting Irish stew made with tender chunks of beef and fresh cauliflower, perfect for a cold evening.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beef stew meatcut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- β1 medium head cauliflowerbroken into florets
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 teaspoons Irish stew seasoningor to taste
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flourfor dusting beef
- β2 cups beef brothhomemade or store-bought
- β1/2 cup milkoptional

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the beef with flour, salt, and pepper.

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef to the pot and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the cauliflower florets to the pot and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add the beef broth to the pot and bring to a boil.

Return the beef to the pot and cover with a lid.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and cook for 2 1/2 hours, or until the beef is tender.

Remove the pot from the oven and stir in the Irish stew seasoning and milk (if using). Serve hot.
