Keto Veal Tagine
A flavorful and nutritious keto recipe inspired by traditional Algerian cuisine, slow-cooked to tender perfection in a rich tagine sauce.

- β1 pound Veal shoulderCut into 1-inch cubes
- β2 cups Nourishing chicken brothLow-sodium
- β2 teaspoons Algerian tagine spice blendHomemade or store-bought
- β2 tablespoons Coconut oilFor browning
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsleyChopped
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantroChopped
- β1 teaspoon SaltTo taste
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepperTo taste

Heat the coconut oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown the veal cubes in batches until browned, about 5 minutes per batch. Remove from pot and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the tagine spice blend and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the chicken broth, browned veal, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover the pot and transfer to the oven.
