Spicy Tagine Fish
A Chinese-inspired dish that combines the flavors of the tagine with the freshness of fish, all in a moist and flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
- β4 Fish filletsany white fish, such as cod or tilapia
- β2 tsp Tagine spice blendor make your own with cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and turmeric
- β2 Braziliian chili peppersor any other chili pepper
- β2 inches Gingersliced
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tbsp Soy sauceor tamari for gluten-free option
- β1 tbsp Brown sugaror honey for a different flavor
- β1 tbsp Rice vinegaror apple cider vinegar
- β1 cup Wateror fish stock for added depth

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the fish with salt and pepper.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the sliced ginger and minced garlic.

Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then add the tagine spice blend and cook for another minute.

Add the chili peppers and cook for an additional minute.

Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar to the skillet and stir to combine.

Add the fish to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.
