Thai-Style Cha Buns
A fusion of Vietnamese cha and Thai flavors, these crispy buns are filled with savory, spicy tofu.
Ingredients
- β1 block Tofupressed and drained
- β1 package Mindful bun doughstore-bought
- β2 tsp Vietnamese cha seasoningor to taste
- β1 tsp Briny fish sauceor to taste
- β1 cup Vegetable oilfor frying
- β2 Thai chiliessliced and seeded
- β1/4 cup Cilantrochopped
- β2 tbsp Lime juicefreshly squeezed
- βto taste Salt

1. Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

2. Divide the bun dough into small balls and flatten each into a disk.

3. In a separate pan, heat the cha seasoning and fish sauce over low heat.

4. Add the tofu to the pan and stir to coat with the cha seasoning mixture.

5. Place a disk of bun dough in the hot oil and fry until crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

6. Repeat with the remaining dough disks.

7. Stuff each bun with the tofu mixture, then top with a few slices of Thai chili and a sprinkle of cilantro.

8. Serve immediately with a squeeze of lime juice and a sprinkle of salt.
