Pan-Seared Pork Gyoza with Melty Cheese
A fusion twist on traditional Japanese gyoza, this pan-seared dish features juicy pork and a melty cheesy center.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Pork80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β20-24 wrappers Gyoza Wrappersavailable in most Asian markets
- β1 cup shredded mozzarella Melty Cheeseor other melty cheese of choice
- β1/4 cup thinly sliced Green Onionsfor garnish
- β2 tablespoons Soy Saucefor serving
- β1 tablespoon Sesame Oilfor pan-searing

Preheat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to the pan and swirl to coat.

Add the ground pork to the pan, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Once the pork is browned, add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and stir to combine.

Lay a gyoza wrapper on a flat surface and place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center.

Place a small piece of melty cheese on top of the pork mixture.

Fold the wrapper over the filling to form a half-moon shape, pressing the edges to seal.

Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Add the gyoza to the pan, leaving a small amount of space between each dumpling.

Pan-fry the gyoza until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Flip the gyoza over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the other side is also golden brown.
