Saudi Arabian Pine Nut Fritters
A crispy and sweet Middle Eastern-inspired dessert made with pine nuts and a hint of cardamom. Perfect for a snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- β1 cup all-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup pine nuts
- β1/2 teaspoon grated cardamom
- β1/4 cup sugar
- β2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- β1 large eggs
- β1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- β1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- β1 cup milk
- β1 cup vegetable oil

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cardamom, and salt.

Add the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms.

Stir in the pine nuts.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350Β°F.

Using a spoon, drop small balls of the batter into the hot oil.

Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
