Classic Italian Sausage Pasta
A hearty, comforting pasta dish made with Italian sausage, pasta, and a rich tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- β12 oz (340g) PastaDense, Italian pasta of your choice
- β1 lb (450g) Luscious Italian SausageSliced into 1/4-inch thick rounds
- β2 cups (475ml) Tomato SauceHomemade or store-bought, made with crushed tomatoes, garlic, and herbs
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1/4 cup (15g) Fresh BasilChopped
- β1 tsp (5g) Salt
- β1 tsp (5g) Black Pepper
- β2 tbsp (30ml) Olive Oil
- β1/2 cup (120g) Grated Parmesan

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced Italian sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.

Add the tomato sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.

Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and stir to combine.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Simmer the sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
