Smoked Salmon Sushi
A Japanese-inspired sushi recipe featuring smoked salmon, perfect for a delicious and easy-to-make meal.
Ingredients
- β2 cups long-grain Japanese ricecooked according to package instructions
- β1/2 pound smoked salmon filletcut into small pieces
- β1 tablespoon slovakian wheat breadfor bread crumbs
- β1 teaspoon vanilla extractoptional
- β1/4 cup sushi vinegarmixed with rice vinegar and sugar
- β350Β°F baketoasted sesame seeds for garnish
- β1 tablespoon sesame oilfor brushing
- β1/2 cup cucumbersliced
- β1/2 cup avocadosliced
- β1/4 cup pickled gingersliced
Instructions

Prepare the sushi vinegar by mixing rice vinegar and sugar. Set aside.

Cook the Japanese rice according to package instructions. Allow it to cool.

Cut the smoked salmon into small pieces and set aside.

Cut the cucumber and avocado into thin slices.

Prepare the pickled ginger by slicing it thinly.

To assemble the sushi, place a small amount of rice onto a sushi mat.

Add a few pieces of smoked salmon, cucumber, and avocado on top of the rice.
