Thai Coconut Scones
A sweet and savory twist on traditional British scones, inspired by the flavors of Thailand. These scones are perfect for a breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Coconut milk
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup Sugar
- β1 teaspoon Lightly yeasty instant yeast
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 cup Butter, melted
- β1 teaspoon Khus essence
- β1 tablespoon Khus syrup (or honey)

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and yeast.

Add the salt and whisk to combine.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, melted butter, khus essence, and khus syrup.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Pat the dough into a circle that is about 1 inch thick.

Use a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass to cut out scones.
