Tangy Asparagus Stir-Fry
A simple and flavorful vegetarian stir-fry made with poached asparagus, tangy sauce, and crisp white onions.
Ingredients
- β1/2 cup white onionsthinly sliced
- β1 pound asparaguspoached, cut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 tablespoons tangkorean chili paste
- β2 tablespoons lightly salted sesame oil
- β1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- β2 cloves garlicminced

Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add garlic and stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add asparagus and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until tender.

Stir in tang, white pepper, and salt to taste.

Add sliced onions and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.

Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

Cook's note: To poach asparagus, bring a pot of water to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
