German Chicken Pie
A twist on the classic British chicken pie, with a German-inspired mash topping.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 lbs Buttery British Chicken
- β2 tbsp Lightly Salted Buttermelted
- β2 cups Flourall-purpose
- β1 cup Milk
- β1 pre-made Pie Crusthomemade or store-bought
- β2 cups Mashed Potatoeslightly salted

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the flour to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Fill the pie crust with the chicken mixture and cover with mashed potatoes.

Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown.
