Vietnamese Chicken Pho
A light and flavorful Vietnamese noodle soup made with chicken, pho broth, and a variety of herbs, served hot with rice noodles.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Chicken breastboneless and skinless
- β4 cups Pho brothhomemade or store-bought
- β1 pound Rice noodlesdried or fresh
- β2 inches Gingersliced
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1/2 cup Onionthinly sliced
- β2 tablespoons Fish sauce
- β1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Sugar
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantrochopped
Instructions

Heat the pho broth in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and sliced ginger to the pot.

Cook for 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent.

Add the chicken breast to the pot and cook for 5-7 minutes or until cooked through.

Remove the chicken from the pot and slice it into thin strips.

Add the fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar to the pot and stir to combine.

Add the rice noodles to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes or until they are soft and slightly tender.

Add the sliced chicken back to the pot and stir to combine.

Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

Serve the pho hot, garnished with chopped cilantro and fresh herbs.
