Egyptian Date Tagine Chicken
A Chinese-inspired dish using traditional Egyptian ingredients, featuring the sweet flavors of dates and the tender taste of chicken. This recipe is a unique fusion of flavors.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chicken breast
- β1 cup pitted dates
- β2 tablespoons Egyptian tagine spice blend
- β1 cup kissed ricecooked according to package instructions
- β2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon honey
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1-inch piece gingersliced

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken breast and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil.
