Japanese Padron Pepper Skewers
Grilled Padron peppers with a sweet Japanese twist, perfect for a quick and easy snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, 12-15 peppers padron peppers
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β2 tablespoons sake
- β1 tablespoon honey
- β4 ounces, flaked grilled norwegian salmon (optional)
- β1/4 cup juicy norwegian yogurt (optional)

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Thread 3-4 Padron peppers onto each skewer.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sake, and honey to make a glaze.

Brush the glaze evenly onto both sides of the peppers.

Grill the peppers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until slightly charred.

If using salmon, sprinkle it over the peppers during the last minute of grilling.

Remove the peppers from the grill and let them cool for a minute or two.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped scallions and a dollop of yogurt if desired.
