Thai Grilled Cheese Tapas
A creamy twist on traditional grilled cheese, inspired by Thai flavors and perfect for tapas platters.
Ingredients
- β2 cups, shredded Gruyere cheese
- β1 loaf, sliced Intensely flavored bread
- β1/4 cup Tapas spreada combination of cream cheese, chutney, and chopped fresh herbs
- β1/4 cup Spanish olive oil
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantro leaveschopped
- β1/2 teaspoon Thai red chili flakes
- βto taste Salt
- β4 Fresh lime wedgesfor serving
Instructions

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Butter one side of each bread slice.

Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the grill or grill pan.

Top with a slice of Gruyere cheese, a spoonful of tapas spread, and a sprinkle of Thai red chili flakes.

Place the second slice of bread, buttered side up, on top of the filling.

Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Flip the sandwich over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown.

Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 4-6 tapas grilled cheese.

Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh cilantro and a lime wedge.
