Spicy Tofu Skewers
A simple and flavorful Chinese-inspired dish featuring marinated tofu on skewers, grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- β1 block Extra-firm tofupressed and drained
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauceor to taste
- β1 tablespoon Rice vinegaror to taste
- β1-inch piece Gingergrated
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon Red pepper flakesor to taste
- β1/2 teaspoon Saltor to taste
- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepperor to taste
- β1 tablespoon Vegetable oilfor brushing

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Cut tofu into 1-inch cubes.

In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

Add tofu cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Thread tofu cubes onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Brush skewers with vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper.

Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, or until the tofu is golden brown and slightly charred.
