Smoked Irish Treacle Ribs
A twist on traditional BBQ ribs, these German-inspired Irish treacle ribs are smoky, sweet, and fall-off-the-bone tender.
Ingredients
- ●2 pounds St. Louis-style pork ribs
- ●1 cup Irish treacle
- ●1/2 cup Intense BBQ sauce
- ●1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- ● Grill
Instructions

Preheat grill to 275°F (140°C).

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together treacle, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika.

Apply the treacle mixture evenly to both sides of the ribs.

Place the ribs on the grill, bone-side down, and close the lid.

Smoke the ribs for 2 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

After 2 hours, increase the grill temperature to 375°F (190°C) and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the ribs are caramelized and tender.
