Smoked Salmon Suspiro Tartine
A French-inspired appetizer featuring smoked salmon, topped with a rich and creamy suspiro sauce, served on toasted bamboo shoots.
Ingredients
- β6 oz Smoked Salmon
- β1/4 cup Suspiro Sauce (see notes)Store-bought or homemade suspiro sauce made with hot chocolate, sugar, and milk
- β4-6 shoots Bamboo ShootsCanned or fresh bamboo shoots
- β1 tsp Limeno ZestFreshly grated limeno zest
- β2 tbsp Hot Water
- β2 tbsp Peruvian Lime Juice
- β1/4 cup Fresh Chives

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Rinse the bamboo shoots and slice them into 1/4-inch thick rounds.

Place the bamboo shoots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and toast in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Meanwhile, mix the suspiro sauce with the hot water and peruvian lime juice in a small bowl.

To assemble the tartine, place a toasted bamboo shoot round on a plate, top with a slice of smoked salmon, and spoon the suspiro sauce mixture over the top.

Garnish with fresh chives and a sprinkle of limeno zest.
