Smoked German Bean Stew
A hearty, smoky twist on traditional German bean stew, inspired by Mexican flavors.

Ingredients
- β1 tsp smoked paprika
- β2 tbsp german mustard
- β1 can (15 oz) canned black beans
- β1 cup dried kidney beans
- β1 medium onion
- β3 cloves garlic
- β2 tbsp tomato paste
- β1 tsp cumin
- β1 tsp chili powder
- β1 tsp salt

Instructions

Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add onion and cook until softened, 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add cumin, chili powder, and smoked paprika; cook for 1 minute.

Add tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.

Add dried kidney beans, black beans, and 4 cups water; bring to a boil.
