Mexican-Style Ukrainian Dumplings
A fusion twist on traditional Ukrainian dumplings, filled with spicy Mexican flavors. Serve as a main dish or snack.
Ingredients
- ●2 cups All-purpose flourmake sure to use a gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option
- ●1/4 cup Waterwarm water for dough
- ●1 lb Ground beefcooked and seasoned with Mexican spices
- ●1 medium Onionchopped and sautéed with garlic
- ●3 cloves Garlicminced and sautéed with onion
- ●1 cup Mexican cheeseshredded and melted on top
- ●1 cup Sour creamfor serving
- ●1/4 cup Chopped cilantrofor garnish

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and warm water to form a dough.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth.

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.

Roll out each piece into a thin circle.

Place a tablespoon of seasoned ground beef in the center of each circle.

Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the dumplings for 10-12 minutes.

While the dumplings are cooking, heat a skillet with a tablespoon of oil over medium heat.
