German Potato Casserole
A hearty, comforting German potato casserole recipe perfect for a cold winter evening. It's a classic dish made with sliced potatoes, onions, and a rich beef broth.

- ●1 large Onion
- ●4 tablespoons Butter
- ●2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
- ●1 cup Beef broth
- ●1 cup Sour cream
- ●1 cup, shredded Cheddar cheese
- ●to taste Salt and pepper
- ●chopped, for garnish Fresh parsley

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until they're slightly tender. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, sauté the sliced onions in butter until they're golden brown.

In a separate saucepan, whisk together the flour and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens.

Stir in the sour cream and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, arrange half of the cooked potatoes in the bottom.
