Croatian Beef Stew
A hearty beef stew originating from Croatia, made with tender beef, vegetables, and a rich broth.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beef stew meat Beef
- β2 medium Onions
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 medium Carrots
- β2 large Potatoes
- β1 cup Red wine
- β2 cups Beef broth
- β2 tablespoons Tomato paste
- β1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- β1/4 cup chopped Fresh parsley

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.

Add the onions to the pot and cook until they start to brown, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the carrots and potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the red wine, beef broth, tomato paste, and Dijon mustard.

Return the beef to the pot and bring to a boil.
