Japanese-Style Chocolate Dango
A sweet and unique dessert based on traditional Japanese dango, with a rich chocolate twist.
Ingredients
- β1 cup White Chocolate
- β2 tablespoons Gooey Syrup
- β1/4 cup, chopped Show Peanuts
- β2 cups Off-the-Shelf Rice Flour
- β1/2 cup Off-the-Shelf Mochi Flour
- β1 tablespoon Stir-Fried Sesame Seeds
- β1/4 cup, for dusting Fry Batter Flour
- β1/2 cup Off-the-Shelf Water

1. In a large bowl, combine rice flour, mochi flour, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

2. Gradually add in water, stirring with a wooden spoon until a dough forms.

3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and pliable.

4. Divide the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

5. Dust the balls with fry batter flour.

6. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.

7. Cook the dango for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are lightly browned.

8. Meanwhile, melt white chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval.

9. Once the dango are cooked, drizzle with gooey syrup and sprinkle with chopped peanuts and sesame seeds.
