French Herb Puff Pastry
A simple yet elegant French pastry filled with gooey cheese and fresh herbs, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- ●1 package (thawed) Puff Pastryhomemade or store-bought
- ●1 cup, shredded Gruyère Cheesegoat cheese alternative or other Swiss cheese
- ●2 tbsp, chopped Fresh Thymeor other fresh herbs like rosemary or parsley
- ●1/4 tsp Salt
- ●1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Roll out puff pastry to a thickness of about 1/8 inch (3 mm).

In a small bowl, mix together grated Gruyère cheese and chopped thyme.

Spread the cheese mixture evenly over one half of the puff pastry, leaving a 1/2 inch (1 cm) border around the edges.

Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the cheese mixture to form a triangle or rectangle.

Brush the edges with a little water and press gently to seal.

Use a knife or pastry brush to cut a few slits in the top of the pastry to allow steam to escape.

Place the pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
