Argentinian Empanada Pasta Bake
A German-inspired twist on a classic pasta bake, using Argentinian empanadas for added crust.
Ingredients
- β12 pieces Empanadas (Argentinian)homemade or store-bought
- β8 oz Fresh pastaany shape
- β1/2 cup Flakygrated, for topping
- β1 cup Shredded mozzarellafor topping
- β16 oz Tomato saucehomemade or store-bought
- β1/4 cup Grated Parmesanfor topping
- β1/4 cup Chopped fresh parsleyfor garnish

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cut empanadas in half and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat tomato sauce over medium heat.

Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with sauce until well combined.

Transfer pasta mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Arrange empanada halves on top of pasta mixture.

Sprinkle flaky cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan evenly over empanada halves.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until empanadas are golden brown and cheese is melted.
