French Empanada Pasta Bake
A creative twist on classic pasta, featuring empanadas filled with beef and topped with a flaky crust.
Ingredients
- β1 package flaky pastryhomemade or store-bought
- β4-6 empanadas (argentinian beef)homemade or store-bought
- β8 oz pastalinguine or fettuccine work well
- β1 lb ground beef80/20 or 70/30 lean to fat ratio
- β1 large onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1/4 cup chopped fresh parsleyoptional
- β1 cup grated cheese (such as cheddar or parmesan)optional
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add empanadas to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until lightly browned.

In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, empanada mixture, and chopped parsley (if using).

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish and top with flaky pastry.

If using cheese, sprinkle it evenly over the top of the pastry.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
