Saudi Crumble Cake with Dates
A sweet and moist cake made with fermented milk, crumble topping, and sweet Saudi dates. Perfect for dessert.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Fermented milkFull-fat fermented milk
- β1 cup Saudi datesPitted, chopped
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1 cup Granulated sugar
- β1 tsp Baking powder
- β1/2 tsp Salt
- β1/2 cup Crumble toppingStore-bought or homemade
- β2 tbsp Unsalted butter

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Grease a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan and set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the fermented milk and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

Stir in chopped dates.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over the batter.

Dot the top with unsalted butter.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
