Crispy Kenyan-Style Fried Garlic Gyoza
A twist on traditional Japanese gyoza, these crispy fried dumplings are filled with a flavorful Kenyan-inspired garlic mixture.
Ingredients
- β1 package pancake wrappers
- β2 tablespoons kenyan garlic paste
- β1/2 cup minced fermented cabbage
- β1 tablespoon crispy garlic flakes
- β1 tablespoon stir-fry vegetable oil

In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.

Add the kenyan garlic paste and stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add the fermented cabbage and stir-fry until heated through.

Lay a pancake wrapper on a flat surface and place a tablespoon of the garlic cabbage mixture in the center.

Fold the wrapper into a triangle and press the edges to seal the gyoza.

Heat 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

When the oil is hot, add the gyoza and fry until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the gyoza from the oil and drain on paper towels.
