Jamaican Bao Burgers
A flavorful vegan burger made with Jamaican jerk seasoning and served in a soft bao bun.
Ingredients
- β1 block, crumbled fermented tofu
- β1/2 cup aerated oats
- β1/4 cup quick oats
- β2 tbsp fix sauce
- β1 tsp jamaican jerk seasoning
- β1 tbsp aoili (vegan)
- β2 tbsp bacon bits (vegan)

1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

2. In a bowl, combine crumbled fermented tofu, aerated oats, quick oats, fix sauce, and jamaican jerk seasoning. Mix well.

3. Add aoili and mix until the mixture is smooth and consistent.

4. Using your hands, shape the mixture into 4-6 patties, depending on the desired size.

5. Add the patties to the preheated skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until browned and crispy.

6. Meanwhile, toast the bao buns by grilling them lightly or toasting them in a toaster.

7. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on each toasted bun, topping with bacon bits and any other desired toppings.
