German Chicken Casserole
A hearty and comforting casserole that combines the flavors of Germany with the ease of American cuisine. This dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients

- ●1 cup milk
- ●1 medium chopped onion
- ●2 medium chopped carrot
- ●2 stalks chopped celery
- ●1 cup canned diced tomatoes
- ●2 cups casserole rice
- ●1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- ●1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the casserole rice according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion, carrot, and celery in easiest american butter until tender.

Add the diced tomatoes and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and grated cheddar cheese.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, chicken breast, and the milk-cheese mixture.

Add the sautéed vegetables and chopped parsley to the mixing bowl and stir until combined.
