Sweet Korean Bowl
A sweet and savory Korean-inspired bowl made with dense sweet bread and a variety of toppings.
Ingredients
- β1 loaf dense sweet breadpreferably day-old bread
- β2 medium sweet potatopeeled and cubed
- β1/2 cup green onionschopped
- β2 tbsp toasted sesame seedsoptional
- β2 tbsp soy sauceor to taste
- β1 tsp honeyor to taste
- β1 tsp sesame oilfor brushing bread

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Slice the dense sweet bread into 1-inch thick slices.

Brush the bread slices with sesame oil and toast in the oven for 5 minutes.

In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of soy sauce over medium heat.

Add the cubed sweet potatoes and cook until caramelized, about 10-12 minutes.

Stir in honey and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Assemble the bowls by placing toasted bread on the bottom, followed by sweet potato mixture, green onions, and toasted sesame seeds (if using).
