Crispy Duck Tostada
A twist on the classic Mexican dish, topped with crispy duck and fresh cilantro.
Ingredients
- ●2 Duck breastboneless and skinless
- ●4 Corn tortillaspreferably day-old tortillas
- ●1/4 cup Vegetable oilfor frying
- ●1/4 cup Cilantrochopped
- ●2 tablespoons Lime juicefreshly squeezed
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black pepper
- ●1 teaspoon Tostada seasoningoptional
- ●1/4 cup Queso fresco or feta cheeseoptional

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the duck breast with salt and black pepper.

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the duck breast for 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the skillet to the oven and cook for 12-15 minutes, or until the duck reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Let the duck rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Fry the corn tortillas for 30-45 seconds per side, or until crispy and golden brown.

Drain the tortillas on paper towels and season with tostada seasoning.

Assemble the tostadas by placing a piece of duck on each tortilla, followed by a sprinkle of cilantro, a squeeze of lime juice, and a sprinkle of queso fresco or feta cheese (if using).
