Roasted Canadian Kanten Casserole
A sweet and savory dessert made with roasted kanten, agar, and deliciously rich flavors.
Ingredients
- β200g Canadian kanten
- β2 tablespoons Agar powder
- β100ml Maple syrupor to taste
- β400ml Coconut milk
- β100g Roasted almonds
- β1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- βpinch Salt

Preheat the oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

Soak the kanten in water for at least 4 hours.

Drain and rinse the kanten, then chop into small pieces.

In a saucepan, combine the agar powder, maple syrup, coconut milk, and vanilla extract.

Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the chopped kanten and roasted almonds to the saucepan.

Pour the mixture into a baking dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
