Classic Chicken Wings for Afternoon Tea
A delightful British-inspired dish perfect for an afternoon tea. Crispy fried chicken wings served with a side of tangy sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken wingsabout 12-15 wings
- β1 cup all-purpose flourfor dusting
- β1/2 cup buttermelted
- β1/2 cup breading mixor panko breadcrumbs
- β2 eggsbeaten
- β1 cup buttermilkfor marinating
- β2 tablespoons hot sauceoptional
- β2 tablespoons honeyfor the glaze
- β1 tablespoon lemon juicefor the glaze

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and a pinch of salt.

Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

Dip the floured wings in the beaten eggs and then in the breading mix.

Place the breaded wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle the melted butter over the wings and toss to coat.

While the wings are baking, mix together the hot sauce and honey for the glaze.
