Crispy Almond Crusted Wontons
A crispy and crunchy twist on traditional wontons. Perfect as a snack or appetizer. Inspired by Chinese cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, sliced almond
- β1 cup, crushed crumbly
- β1 package, thawed wonton wrappers
- β1, beaten egg
- β1 tablespoon water
- β1/2 cup vegetable oil
- β2 tablespoons honey
- β1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water.

Dip a wonton wrapper into the egg mixture, coating both sides.

Place a small amount of almond crumble mixture in the center of the wrapper.

Fold the wrapper into a triangle and press edges together to seal.

Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

Fry wontons in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

In a small saucepan, heat honey and sesame seeds over low heat until bubbly.

Drizzle honey sauce over wontons and serve.
