Crispy Squid Croquettes with Chinese Dipping Sauce
Crispy squid croquettes served with a sweet and sour Chinese dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 bag Crispy Squid Croquettes
- β1/2 cup Vegetable oil
- β1/2 cup Chinese Dipping Sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- β1 pound Baby Squid (fresh or frozen)
- β1 medium Spanish Onion
- β1 can Bamboo shoots (canned)
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- β2 tablespoons Cornstarch

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

Prepare the squid croquettes according to the package instructions.

In a separate pan, mix together the Chinese Dipping Sauce, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.

Add the bamboo shoots to the sauce mixture and stir well.

Dredge the squid croquettes in cornstarch before frying.

Fry the squid croquettes in batches until golden brown and crispy.
