Italian Wonton Soup
A fusion twist on traditional wonton soup, incorporating Italian flavors. Shrimp and wonton dumplings are served in a light, savory broth.
Ingredients
- β12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined Shrimp
- β1 package (about 20 wrappers) Wonton wrappers
- β1 medium onion, finely chopped Onion
- β3 cloves, minced Garlic
- β4 cups Chicken broth
- β1 cup White wine
- β1/2 cup Heavy cream
- β1/4 cup, chopped Parsley
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Bring the chicken broth to a boil in a large pot over high heat.

Add the white wine and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the heavy cream and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until the soup has thickened slightly.

While the soup is cooking, prepare the wontons by placing a small spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.

Brush the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold the wrapper into a triangle and press the edges together to seal the wonton.

When the soup is ready, add the wontons and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
