Shrimp Wonton Soup
A delicious and comforting Chinese soup filled with crispy wontons and succulent shrimp.
Ingredients
- β12 large Shrimppeeled and deveined
- β20-24 Wonton wrapperscircular and thin
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oilfor frying wontons
- β2 inches Gingersliced
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons Soy saucefor flavor
- β1 tablespoon Sesame oilfor flavor
- β4 cups Chicken brothlow-sodium
- β1/4 cup Scallionschopped
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced ginger and minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add the shrimp and cook until pink and just cooked through.

Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Add the wonton wrappers to the skillet and fry until crispy and golden brown.

Remove the fried wontons from the skillet and set aside with the shrimp.

In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil.

Bring the broth to a boil and then reduce the heat to low.

Add the cooked shrimp and fried wontons to the pot and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
