Beef Burrito Italiano
A unique fusion of Italian and Mexican flavors in a beef burrito.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Ground Beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- β1 tsp Cumin
- β1 cup Pasta Saucehomemade or store-bought
- β1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- β4-6 Tortillaslarge flour tortillas
- β1/4 cup Fresh Basilchopped
- β1/2 cup Sour Creamfor serving
- β1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheesefor serving
- β1/4 cup Salsamild or spicy, for serving

1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

3. Add the Italian seasoning and cumin to the skillet and stir to combine.

4. Add the pasta sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.

5. Reduce heat to low and simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes.

6. In a separate pan, warm the tortillas over medium heat for 30-60 seconds on each side.

7. Assemble the burritos by spooning the beef and sauce mixture onto a tortilla, followed by a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.

8. Add a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream on top of the cheese.

9. Add a sprinkle of chopped fresh basil on top of the cheese.

10. Fold the bottom half of the tortilla up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll the burrito up tightly.

11. Serve the burritos hot with additional salsa and sour cream on the side, if desired.
