Sauerbraten Beef Burrito
A twist on traditional German sauerbraten, served in a creamy Mexican burrito. Marinated beef is slow-cooked in a mixture of vinegar, water, and spices, then wrapped in a large flour tortilla with creamy toppings.
Ingredients

- β8 ounces cream cheesesoftened
- β1/2 cup salsamild Mexican salsa
- β1 cup shredded cheddar cheesedivided
- β1 tortilla (large flour)warmed
- β1/2 cup sour creamwhipped
- β1/4 cup chopped cilantrofresh
- β2 cups beef brothused for marinade
- β2 tablespoons brown sugarused for marinade
- β1 tablespoon mustard (Dijon)used for marinade

In a large bowl, whisk together beef broth, brown sugar, mustard, and vinegar.

Add the beef strips to the marinade and mix well.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Remove the beef from the marinade and cook in the preheated oven for 2-3 hours, or until tender.

Meanwhile, warm the tortilla by wrapping it in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.
