Creamy Croatian Date Pasta
A gluten-free pasta dish featuring creamy Croatian flavors and sweet dates.
Ingredients

- β4 DatePitted
- β2 tbsp ButterUnsalted
- β2 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 tsp Croatian Paprika
- β1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- β1/4 tsp Salt
- β1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gluten-free pasta according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the Croatian Paprika and cook for 1 minute.

Add the pitted dates and cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.

Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.

Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the cooked pasta.

Add the cooked pasta to the creamy sauce and toss everything together, adding some reserved pasta water if the sauce seems too thick.
