Creamy Citrus Pasta
A light and refreshing Italian-inspired pasta dish featuring a citrus-flavored creamy sauce and paccheri pasta.
Ingredients
- β12 oz paccheri pasta
- β2 tbsp unsalted butter
- β2 cloves garlic
- β2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- β1 tsp grated lemon zest
- β1 tsp italian seasoning
- β1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- β1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the paccheri pasta according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and italian seasoning to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the paccheri pasta.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy sauce and toss to combine.

If the sauce seems too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.

Season with parmesan cheese and serve hot.

Garnish with additional parmesan cheese and lemon zest if desired.
