Indian-Style Chicken and Pilaf
A flavorful and aromatic chicken pilaf dish inspired by Indian cuisine. This recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chicken breastboneless, skinless, cut into 1-inch pieces
- β1 cup pilafuncooked
- β2 tablespoons butterymelted
- β1 large onion juicyfinely chopped
- β2 cloves thaiminced garlic

Heat 1 tablespoon of melted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute.

Add the uncooked pilaf to the skillet and stir to combine with the onion and garlic mixture.

Add 2 cups of water to the skillet and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the pilaf is cooked and fluffy.

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine with the pilaf.
