Egyptian Chicken Tagine
A classic North African dish made with chicken, aromatic spices, and a flavorful tagine sauce, perfect for a keto diet.
Ingredients

- β2 tablespoons aromaticground ginger, ground cumin, ground coriander
- β2 teaspoons egyptian spicespaprika, cayenne pepper, cinnamon
- β2 tablespoons olive oilfor cooking
- β1 cup chicken brothlow-carb
- β2 tablespoons tomato pastelow-carb
- β2 tablespoons tagineground spices, typically includes cinnamon, ginger, coriander, and cumin

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the chicken thighs until browned on both sides. Remove from heat and set aside.

Add the aromatic spices to the pot and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the egyptian spices, chicken broth, and tomato paste to the pot. Stir to combine.

Return the chicken thighs to the pot and bring to a simmer.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and cook for 30 minutes.

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the tagine sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the tagine spices and a pinch of salt.
