Ukrainian Chicken Skillet
A hearty and flavorful skillet dish from Ukraine, made with tender chicken and fresh vegetables. Serve hot with some crusty bread.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch pieces chicken breastBoneless, skinless
- β1 medium, chopped onion
- β3 cloves, minced garlic
- β1 medium, chopped bell pepper
- β skilletLarge, oven-safe
- β1 teaspoon zesty seasoning
- β1/4 cup velvety sour cream
- β1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the chicken with zesty seasoning. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil if necessary. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the chopped bell pepper and cook until tender, about 4-5 minutes.

Return the chicken to the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
