Venezuelan Beef Empanadas
A delicious Venezuelan-inspired beef empanada recipe with a smoky twist. Perfect as a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef
- β1/2 cup Venezuelan Smoky Salsa
- β1/2 cup Zesty Cheese (Queso Fresco)
- β4-6 pieces Empanada Dough
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Crumble the beef into small pieces and cook in a pan with olive oil until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the Venezuelan Smoky Salsa and cook until heated through.

Stir in the Zesty Cheese until melted.

Cut the Empanada Dough into 4-6 pieces, depending on the size you want your empanadas to be.

Place a tablespoon or two of the beef mixture onto one half of each piece of dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Fold the dough in half to enclose the filling and press the edges together to seal the empanada.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with olive oil and cut a few slits in the top of each to allow steam to escape.

Bake the empanadas in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
