Spicy Tagine Chicken Italian-Style
A fusion of Italian and North African flavors in this spicy chicken dish, made with a smoky tagine and a kick of heat from jalapeno.

- β2 tbsp zesty tagine spice blendavailable in most Italian markets
- β2 jalapeno pepperssliced
- β2 tbsp herb buttersoftened
- β1/4 cup olive oilextra virgin
- β1 pint cherry tomatoeshalved
- β1/4 cup fresh basilchopped
- β1 cup parmesan cheesegrated
- β1 cup italian breadcrumbsplain
- β1 tsp saltto taste
- β1 tsp black pepperto taste

Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and zesty tagine spice blend.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side, then transfer to a baking dish.

Top the chicken with sliced jalapeno peppers and herb butter.
