Slovakian-Italian Roast Pork
Slow-roasted pork shoulder infused with Slovakian zesty flavors and Italian seasonings.
Ingredients
- β2 lbs pork shoulderbone-in
- β2 tsp zesty slovakian paprika
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β1 tsp salt
- β1 tsp pepper
- β1 tsp garlic powder
- β1 tsp italian seasoning
- β1 large onionchopped
- β2 large carrotschopped
- β2 large potatoeschopped

Preheat oven to 325Β°F (165Β°C).

Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and italian seasoning.

Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the pork shoulder until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the pork from the pot and set aside.

Add the chopped onion, carrots, and potatoes to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the paprika to the pot and stir to combine.

Return the pork shoulder to the pot and cover with a lid.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and roast for 2-3 hours, or until the pork is tender and falls apart easily.

Remove the pot from the oven and let the pork rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
